So it’s Superbowl weekend! Already? Who’s ready for the big game? Are you needing any last minute easy dishes to put together? If you’re anything like me, you do.
There’s no denying chicken wings slathered in Frank’s hot sauce with a side of blue cheese dressing is a popular and favorite flavor combination amongst many- especially here in Upstate, NY. Folks up here love their wings. I honestly had never had wings until I visited NY, when I was like 20 years old. Really, it just wasn’t anything we ate in OK and TX. Nobody I knew did. Now when I go for a visit in TX, I see Wingstops and other similar restaurants that lead me to believe these babies have gained some major momentum across this country.
Now that I’m a resident of the Empire State, I still don’t eat many wings except when I head up to Old Forge and try to duplicate the delicious sauce of my favorite wings at home. I decided to experiment and capture the wings flavors in hummus (without the actual wings). Just some basic hummus ingredients with a kiss of Franks and blue cheese dressing. While I dip pita bread, crackers, and fresh veggies in this hummus, I can’t help but think this would be a great dip for wings
